Alleanza Architecture were engaged to expand and consolidate the Inner West Regional Office of Sydney Catholic Schools, creating a cohesive and functional workplace environment that supports contemporary modes of work.
The project optimised existing building fabric while increasing usable floor area through the careful incorporation of an existing verandah. Structural reconfiguration enabled more efficient layouts and improved spatial performance, allowing for a diverse mix of offices, large open work areas and appropriately scaled staff amenities.
Externally, the project introduced a new entry sequence that clearly defines arrival and enhances wayfinding, alongside the creation of a central outdoor space for staff. This shared external area provides opportunities for informal gathering, respite and connection, extending the workplace beyond the building envelope.
The result is a consolidated office environment that balances efficiency, adaptability and amenity, delivering a contemporary workplace within an existing built context.
