The Sydney Catholic Schools Head Office project in Leichhardt involved the internal reconfiguration and upgrade of key shared spaces, including the reception area, dining hall and kitchen, to better support staff and visitors.
The project focused on reorganising circulation to create a clear and intuitive entry sequence, streamlining movement through the building while improving wayfinding and functionality. New and enhanced gathering spaces were introduced to support staff interaction, collaboration and informal use throughout the day.
Working within a heritage context, the design approach adopted a restrained contemporary language, carefully integrated to respect the character of the existing building. Upgrades included improved accessibility, refined presentation fixtures and modernised kitchen facilities, ensuring the spaces meet current operational requirements while maintaining architectural continuity.
The result is a series of updated internal environments that balance functionality, clarity and subtle modernisation, enhancing the experience of the building for all users.
